Avl og kåringer er heldigvis noget mange stadig har stor interesse for og vil lære mere om, og vi vil gerne blive ved med at bidrage til at kundskaben bliver større. Derfor vil vi gentage succesen fra sidste år, og invitere til et spændende avls seminar hvor vi fordyber os i historie, kåringsreglementet, BLUP, FEIFs avlsmål og de gældende guidelines osv. Det bliver en weekend fyldt med teori og workshops. Der vil blive plads til spørgsmål og forhåbentlig nogle gode diskutioner undervejs. Denne gang bliver der ikke muligt at melde sig til med hest, men vi vil have demonstration med heste der allerede står her på stedet. Vi rekommanderer alle der har interesse for den islandske hest at deltage.
Heimir Gunnarson er uddannet ridelærer fra Hólar og har efterfølgende taget sin uddannelse som kåringsdommer på Hvanneyri. Heimir er også avls-leder i SIF (Svenska Islandshästforbundet), og i tillæg til det både rider han, og avler heste selv. Han har også været med til at udarbejde de nye guidelines, og sidder ellers med en enorm viden omkring den islandske hest generelt, men også det system de bliver bedømt i.
Agnar Snorri Stefánsson er også uddannet ridelærer fra Hólar, og har siden 2006 boet, og drevet træningsstald på Stald Gavnholt i Silkeborg. Agnar har fremvist over 800 heste, og har en stor erfaring med både at træne heste frem mod kåring og forberedelsen som det kræver, men også at vurdere heste andre har trænet. Agnar har avlet i en del år, og der er indtil nu født ca 90 heste “fra Gavnholt”. I tillæg til at træne heste, underviser Agnar meget både i ind- og udland.

Fortunately, breeding and breeding show is something many people still have a great interest in and want to learn more about. We would like to continue to contribute to increasing the knowledge. Therefore, we will repeat the success from last year, and invite you to an exciting breeding seminar where we delve into history, the breeding regulations, BLUP, FEIF's breeding goals and the guidelines, etc. It will be a weekend full of exciting theory and workshops. This time it will not be possible to register with a horse, but we will have a demonstration with horses that are already here on the farm. Heimir Gunnarsson is a trained riding instructor from Hólar and has completed his training as a breeding judge at Hvanneyri. Heimir is also the breeding leader in SIF (Svenska Islandshästforbundet), and in addition to that he both rides and breeds horses himself. He has also helped to develop the new FIZO guidelines. Heimir has an enormous knowledge about the Icelandic horse in general, and the system in which they are judged.
Agnar Snorri Stefánsson is also a trained riding instructor from Hólar, and since 2006 has lived and run the training stable at Stald Gavnholt in Silkeborg. Agnar has shown over 800 horses, and has great experience in both training horses towards breeding shows and the preparation that it requires. He is also assessing horses that others have trained. Agnar has been breeding for a number of years, and so far around 90 horses "fra Gavnholt" have been born. In addition to training horses, Agnar teaches a lot both at home and abroad.
